Project Partners

KLASTER+ brings together academia and industry. The project is led by Warsaw University of Technology in cooperation with partners experienced in microgrids, energy infrastructure, power system automation, and distribution network operation.

The work covers the full process, from data analysis and modeling to prototype development, testing, and demonstration.

Warsaw University of Technology – project leader

Warsaw University of Technology coordinates the project and carries out its research and technical work. The project team includes staff from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the WUT IT Center.

The main tasks of Warsaw University of Technology include:

  • analysis of energy data,
  • microgrid modeling and simulation,
  • development of control algorithms,
  • definition of requirements for the field controller,
  • laboratory and HIL testing,
  • integration of the results delivered by the project partners,
  • coordination of deployment and communication of the project results.

Elektrometal Energetyka S.A.

Elektrometal Energetyka S.A. manufactures medium-voltage switchgear, switching equipment, and digital field controllers.

The company contributes to the functional and technical requirements for the field controller and data aggregation devices. It also supports the implementation of new functions, the configuration and testing of prototypes, and the integration of the solution with the energy cluster infrastructure.

The company’s industry experience links the research work with the technical, manufacturing, and operational requirements for equipment used in power grids.

CEZAMAT, Warsaw University of Technology

The Centre for Advanced Materials and Technologies (CEZAMAT) at Warsaw University of Technology is a technical and infrastructure partner in the project.

CEZAMAT provides historical and current data on energy consumption and generation at its facilities. These data are used to select the reference site and to develop, calibrate, and validate the microgrid model.

CEZAMAT also contributes to the review of the models and analysis results. This ensures that the proposed solutions reflect the operating conditions of modern research infrastructure.

ESA HUB Sp. z o.o.

ESA HUB Sp. z o.o. leads the initiative titled “Reference Project for the Warsaw CEZAMAT Hub of Power Energy Cluster” and is a technical and infrastructure partner in KLASTER+.

The company provides data from its sites where the renewable energy microgrid is being developed. It also enables measurements and analyses before and after the related investments.

The collaboration also covers data management, energy system integration, and the deployment of digital solutions in operational infrastructure. This enables the models to be developed and validated using real operating data.

EnH2O Sp. z o.o.

EnH2O Sp. z o.o. is a non-public distribution system operator (OSDn) with experience in operating power infrastructure and integrating renewable energy sources.

The company provides technical advice on how the field controller will interact with OSDn systems. It also contributes to the functional and operational requirements.

Selected functions will be verified using EnH2O infrastructure under real network operating conditions. The tests will assess the solution’s performance, reliability, interoperability, and potential use in other microgrids.
